Stand out in this fabulously kaleidoscopic pillbox hat!
There is so much movement in the diagonal stripes of this hat! The multicolored stripes mean that this one will go with so many outfit options, and the classic style will easily go from day to night. I'm picturing it worn with a pair of dressy jeans, elegant sweater and boots or, just as easily, with a cocktail dress. Finished at its offset center with a tiny golden-amber Swarovski square crystal bead and an even tinier vintage purple rhinestone, the stripes do all the talking on this one. I've lined it with the same striped silk and a coordinating petersham ribbon. Fabulous!
This perching hat is attached to the head with a doubled length of medium-brown millinery elastic and should fit most head sizes. If you have any questions about head size or if you need a different color of elastic, please say so in the "notes to seller" section at checkout.

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
