An absolutely stunning fascinator headpiece to wear to a wedding, holiday party, or evening soireé!
This piece is so sophisticated and so very flattering to wear! I had a wonderful time sculpting this luxurious coral silk abaca to wrap a headband and then create sinuous twists that frame the face of the wearer so beautifully. To gild the lily a bit, I've also looped and tucked in a length of antique silk ribbon in a slightly lighter coral that I bought recently and am totally in love with. Have you zoomed in on the woven texture of the ribbon? It is a very subtle snake print, I think, and adds absolutely gorgeous texture and sophistication. If you love coral--which, incidentally, was the 2019 Pantone color of the year!--then you will love this piece as much as I do!
Silk abaca weighs next to nothing so this piece is very lightweight and easy to wear. It is mounted on a silk abaca-wrapped headband and I've attached a metal comb to render it very secure.

Yes, I'd be delighted to work with you on the custom hat of your dreams! Give me a sense of what you're looking for and I can provide you with an estimate of turnaround time and cost. Please just ask!

I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
