Crafted from luscious, textured melusine fur felt, this beret was blocked on a 1920's-era block that has a very modern look indeed. I've added a looped felt ornament to this hat to add even more interest. This bit of trim helps to hug the head a bit more and also frames the wearer's face beautifully. It's so easy to just throw on and go and best of all, you can wear it with the trim on the left or on the right, whichever looks best on you!
Given this beret's shape and how it is worn, its sizing is somewhat flexible. I'd put it in the 22-1/2 to 23-1/2 range, a modern medium to large. If you have any questions about sizing, please don't hesitate to ask!

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
