I just love this little button hat! It was so much fun to make and so much fun to wear, too! Blocked from a tan sinamay straw with white polka dots, I've accented each polka dot with a faceted (and slightly iridescent) blue glass bead. A sky blue feather flower and sinamay straw loops add to the lovely mix, and this one will look just perfect worn with natural linen or a flowy summer dress at your next wedding reception or garden soirée!
This hat is very lightweight and is secured to the head with a loop of millinery elastic. Please specify an elastic color that approximates your hair color in the "notes to seller" field at checkout. I have black, dark brown, light brown, dark blonde, light blonde, gray, and white available.

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
