Blocked from a beautiful natural colored straw, this lovely saucer hat is embellished with a luscious handmade silk magnolia with fuzzy vintage stamens. I've accented it with matching vintage velvet leaves, a cloud of vintage green veiling with chenille dots, and some disks of pressed cream honeycomb veiling. Composed of a gorgeous assemblage of unique materials, it looks absolutely amazing on!
Attached to a silk-wrapped wire bandeau, this hat is quite lightweight and easy to wear, too. The wire bandeau can be gently shaped with your hands to fit your head perfectly, so it should fit nearly any head size.

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
