This beautifully plush winter white velour felt hat was hand-sculpted to frame the wearer's face with its soft folds and swooping front crest. I added a band of striped heavy silk, along with cockades made of the same hand-fringed silk plus two handmade ribbon cockades for lots of texture and interest. This beauty is a little retro without feeling like a costume piece, totally wearable with both modern and vintage attire. And it will keep you warm to boot!
This cloche will best fit a 22-3/4- to 23-inch head. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about how to determine your head size!

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
