This hat is spectacularly trimmed with a gathered hat band and handmade flowers crafted from watercolor burnout silk in shades of blue, aqua, and purple, accented with a large cluster of curled peacock sword feathers. The combination of trim materials is just divine, and this hat will work with a dress or suit in quite a few colors--navy, royal blue, teal green, purple, aqua, turquoise. The asymmetrical brim swoops dramatically and is so stylish and face-framing. This is a truly fabulous hat for a special occasion.
This hat will best fit a 22-1/2 inch head size, though you could have a slightly smaller head measurement and still wear it securely. It will come to you packaged in its own extra-large hat box for safe storage after wear.

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
